Skopje: Museum of Natural History

According to our Skopje Museum Tour guide book, the Museum of Natural History was founded in October 1926 by world famous zoologist Stanko Karaman.  It has changed locations several times, but has been in its current location since 1969 (next to the Skopje Zoo, see this blog post about the Skopje Zoo)

There are permanent exhibitions of minerals and rocks, fossils, plants, invertebrate, insects, fish, amphibians and reptiles, birds, mammals. Unfortunately for us, nearly all of the signage was in Macedonian, but we could still enjoy the exhibits.
