Struga: Visit to the American Corner Struga

Here my colleague Gazmend talked about educational exchange opportunities in the US. We spoke with guests from Struga and also had a skype videoconference with a group in Kicevo.

The American Corners (there are 5 throughout Macedonia:  Skopje, Stip, Bitola, Struga, and Tetovo) provide a wonderful way for the US Embassy and for American culture to go to the people (and not expect that everyone is going to travel to Skopje for more information).

And, in this case, the American Corner Struga was doing even further outreach by including the skype videoconference with Kicevo on our itinerary as well.

(There is more on the American Corners program elsewhere on this blog. So far during this Fulbright I have visited the American Corners in Skopje, Tetovo and Struga in Macedonia- and the American Corner in Pristina, Kosovo.)
