a visit with the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia

Today I visited the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia. I was able to observe proceedings as well as to meet with several judges.

Thank you so much for arranging this visit, Judge Natasha Gaber-Damjanovska!

I don't have time at this moment to write about the mandate of the Constitutional Court, recent cases, its judges.  But you can read more about the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia on their website: Constitutional Court website

I will leave you with this link to a recent case that was handed down by the European Court of Human Rights (9 February 2017) that quotes extensively from Judge Gaber-Damjanovska's dissenting opinion:  Selmani, et al v. Macedonia ECtHR opinion

with the Honorable Judge Natasha Gaber-Damjanovska PhD

I inadvertently wore a dress the same color as the judges' robes....

one of the Judge's daughters is an artist and pained this "Tree of Life," which hangs in her office
