I couldn't agree more.
I can vouch for the rakija in Belgrade - the beauty of the Montenegrin coastline -the charm of the old town in Dubrovnik - Shkoder, Albania - and the castles in Romania and Budapest - and - of course - SKOPJE.
I am still in the process of updating this blog -- but if you scroll back through the posts you will see the variety of things to do in Macedonia - Roman ruins, Byzantine frescoes, Ottoman fortresses, the natural beauty of kayaking Matka canyon, hiking up Mount Vodno, boating in Lake Ohrid, skiing in Mavrovo, winetasting - the list goes on and on. We were so fortunate to have had the opportunity to live in Macedonia for the Spring semester. We are looking forward to our return
