#ACYPLMacedonia -- Pinellas County Libraries

I was honored to be the State Host of the delegation of Macedonian political leaders for the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) in December, organizing a 6-day visit in December.

I am a huge fan of the Pinellas County Library system.  My "home" library is Gulf Beaches Public Library, but often my daughter's homework assignments will take us to another library in the system.  Or, if we have more time, things will be ordered through the very efficient inter-library loan.

When we had a few extra minutes between our lunch and the next meeting at Seminole City Hall (about transparency in government with Mayor Leslie Waters), we decided to stop in the Pinellas County Library Branch at St. Petersburg College Seminole Campus.  We even hit up their book sale. For $1 each we each took home some great finds.  (I just hope not too much extra weight in the suitcases for the return trip to Skopje...)

For more about Pinellas County Libraries, see http://www.pinellascounty.org/library.htm

some of our finds at the Friends of the Library bookshop ... great souvenirs for political junkies!

as we were pulling in to our parking space, we saw a roseate spoonbill!

not a warning seen around Skopje...

a community give what you can/take what you need box

quick visit to the library -- here we see the creative children's section
