Tetovo: State University of Tetovo - Doctor Honoris Causa Ceremony - 31 May 2017

It was an honor to participate in this special ceremony at the State University of Tetovo -- for the presentation of honorary doctorates to Dr. Lisa Freeman of Northern Illinois University (with which the State University has had a long-standing and productive partnership) and Dr. David Phillips of Columbia University (those of you following this blog have already read about him here blog post Violent Extremism conference at SEEU and his analysis of the political crisis from this blog post March 28)

In short, the State University of Tetovo -- Rector Ameti, Vice Rector Celiku, Director of International Cooperation Deari, Dean Polisi, Vice Dean Zejneli, Professor Celiku, and Professor Shehu -- and my first-year Political Science students and my third-year Law students -- have made my time in Tetovo productive, rewarding, and very special. I hope this is only the beginning of our cooperation. Thank you.
