We visited the Albanian coast and stayed overnight in Lezha. The next morning, we drove over to Rana e Hedhun, Shengjin -- and climbed up this mountain of sand. My daughter got much farther up than I did. Such an interesting experience! (As I tried to climb, I sunk farther in....maybe some of us sink deeper than others ;-)
On our way to/from the hotel in Lezha over to Shengjin, we drove past an old bunker, built in the time of Communist leader Enver Hoxha (led Albania from 1944-1985), and this area was a submarine base (and we passed old military vehicles as well)
