SERBIA, Belgrade: Tesla Museum

It's not all Roman mosaics and Byzantine frescoes and Ottoman fortresses -- we also learned about the genius of  Nikola Tesla - and more about his inventions - at the Tesla Museum in Belgrade.

(Last year my daughter had a year-long project about Inventions and Inventors in her gifted program - and she can't wait to tell her teachers about what she learned about Tesla.)

For more about the Tesla Museum, see: http://www.nikolateslamuseum.org/web/index.php?l=en

Also - the Tesla Society in New York has excellent information about the Museum in English:

people who saw Tesla demonstrate this remote control boat at a fair thought he must be controlling it with his mind - or with a trained monkey driving it inside - apparently more credible than the technology that he invented

our tour guide was outstanding -- a mechanical engineering major at the university in Belgrade

Look who's on the 100 denar note

along with a depiction of the invention we saw on display at the museum
