Board of Directors, Fulbright Association, Mid-Florida Chapter

I learned recently that I was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Association Mid-Florida Chapter.

For more about the Fulbright Association, see

For more about my participation in Fulbright Association Annual Meetings:

2015:  Presenter. “Cultivating Global Citizenship in Higher Education: Internationalizing the Curriculum by Creating Collaborative Learning Partnerships.” Fulbright Association Annual Conference. Atlanta, GA.

It was actually at this conference when I met Moldovan Fulbrighter, Stella, who later joined my Road to the White House class in New Hampshire during the first-in-the-nation primary.  For more about that, see  and

2013:  Presenter. “Cultivating Global Citizenship in Higher Education: Civic Engagement and Service Learning in Joint Study Abroad Courses.” Fulbright Association Annual Conference. Washington, DC.

2012:  Presenter.  “Moldovan-U.S. Educational Bridge: Learning Human Trafficking in a Global Perspective.” Fulbright Association Conference, London,

I also presented at a "Live from London" panel organized by one of the other presenters at the conference -- she assembled a panel (in London) to present to her home university in St. Louis about the various kinds of Fulbright opportunities. What a great idea!

While in London, I was able to see the House of Commons and the House of Lords in session:

and also an excursion for lectures and meetings at Oxford University

And, while in London, was able to meet with my colleague from Abu Dhabi, who has worked with my students and me on the "Women's Rights in the Middle East" research projects

There are more on my Moldova and Macedonia blogs.  Suffice it to say, I am looking forward to my work with the Board!
